How to Trade in Creatures of Sonaria
Trade Realm entry, value, demand, and the scams that copy rare species.
You cannot trade in the live Sonaria map. Every real swap happens in Trade Realm, a separate place opened from the main menu after you own at least ten species. That gate exists to slow bots. It also means your first week should be storage, not hustle. Grow and store adults with how to grow, then come here when you can click Trade Realm without an error. If you still need the red-door habit, reread getting started.
Entering Trade Realm and starting a trade
- Return to the main menu through the red door.
- Click Trade Realm at the bottom left. If the button refuses you, you are under ten species. Trial tokens and temporary event loans do not always count the way you hope; store permanent unlocks.
- In the realm, open the inventory book. Species, palettes, plushies, and tokens have their own tabs. You can mark what you are trading and what you are trading for so a bubble appears over your avatar.
- Walk up to a player and press E (or tap / use the controller prompt), or open the Trading window and search a username.
- Check every slot in the window before you accept. Look at the species name, mutation icons, and whether the background looks like a cheap mimic.
Age-verified chat sees custom text. Everyone else sees scripted “trading X” lines. That is a Roblox safety rule, not a scam by itself.
Value is not the shop tag
Shop price is a floor when a creature is on sale. When it leaves rotation, demand decides whether people still pay that number. A boring species that cost 10k Shooms can sit below a new weekly drop that cost 5k because everyone wants the new body this week and nobody wants the old one next week. Event creatures (winter wardens and other seasonal exclusives) tend to rise after the event ends. Brand-new weeklies spike for a day or two, then crash. That pattern is the whole video economy: grind the new thing, sell the hype, do not marry the crash.
Shooms are called mush, shrooms, or “m” in chat. 450m means 450 Shooms. Learn to farm them on how to get Shooms so you are not forced to accept a bad first offer.
Hard limits matter. A single trade can only move a capped pile of Shooms (community docs cite 36,000). High-value species need multiple trades or a trusted Discord middle. There is also a per-slot species stack cap (about 25) for creatures, plushies, palettes, and tokens. Plan the window before you type “W/F/L”.
Role-limited species (tester, translator, moderator, artist exclusives) are not a normal Trade Realm aisle. Chasing them in public servers is how people get socially engineered. The community links page is for official news, not for buying a staff species from a stranger.
Scams you should expect
- Gray-background mimics that look like a rare species at a glance. Read the name, do not read the silhouette.
- Split trades where the other person asks you to go first on trade two. If you cannot finish in one window, you need a reputation you do not have yet.
- Cross-trade (Robux, items from other games). Against Roblox rules and against your inventory.
- “I will grow it for you” after they already received the slot. Grow it yourself with how to grow.
- Mutation lies. Hover the helix and hex icons. If you do not know the icons, open mutations before you accept.
Screen-record if a trade is large. Still prefer one window.
What to trade as a new account
Sell extras from missions and codes cosmetics if you do not customize. Buy a species from the beginner tier list that you can feed, not a PvP name you will idle-starve. Plushies such as Aerix are often a better buy than a random weekly if your bottleneck is time; see items and plushies.
Trade Realm is a market sitting on top of a survival game. The people who stay rich are the people who can still survive a public server after the window closes. Do not skip the ten-species grind. The gate is doing you a favor.
