Creatures of Sonaria Beginner Tier List

The PvP tier list will happily recommend a creature that eats you for lunch while you learn the drink prompt. This page ranks the opposite problem: what to spawn when you still need getting started open in another tab. The grade is “can a new player adult this without a token and without a 10k Shoom restart.” Names rotate as trials and shop rotations change, so we rank roles first and cite example bodies second. Pair every pick with the diet checklist and starter creatures.

S for beginners — forgive the map

Photovores that only need water and light. If you can find a lake and stay out of caves, the hunger bar stops being a puzzle. They are also the Shoom AFK backbone. Weak in a fight; that is fine.

Small herbivores and omnivores with visible food piles (mushrooms, bushes, oasis plants). Redwoods and pond edges are classrooms. You will still die to KoS. You will not die because you could not identify dinner.

Aquatics that eat plants or everything in a basin you can stay inside. Drowning is a land-player problem. Surface grabs are the tax; stay deep while you learn.

Trial creatures that cost a handful of Shooms belong here when they match those diets. Replaceable is a feature. A 50-mush trial you can restart is more educational than a painted weekly you are afraid to move.

A for beginners — good after one successful adult

Medium omnivores that can swap meat and plants once you understand carcass pickup (Y). Simple fliers with easy takeoff, not gliders that ground themselves if you dip too close. Semi-aquatics after you have died to moisture or oxygen once and understood the bar.

These are the species you grow to unlock Trade Realm’s ten-species gate. Store them. Do not sell the only body you know how to feed.

B and below — wait

Huge carnivores including most PvP S names. Korathos is a terrible first main. You will spend the session looking for meat and providing meat.

Gliders such as Nolumoth. The sky video on the PvP page is a warning: height control is a skill. Grounding yourself next to a shredder is a highlight reel for someone else.

Ambush invis kits. You will waste the cooldown on nothing and then stand still like a tutorial dummy.

Anything you only want because it is new this week. Hype is a trading tool, not a beginner tool.

A first-week roster plan

1. Spawn a photovore or small herbivore. Practice sniff, drink, hide scent, and the red door. Redeem codes on the menu.
2. Adult it with how to grow. Store it.
3. Repeat on a different mobility tag so you own land and water. That is two of the ten species already.
4. Only then look at the PvP list for a “someday” buy.
5. If you want a friend to hand you a body, use how to nest rather than begging in a KoS server.

Beginner tier is allowed to be uncool. Uncool adults become the account that can later afford Korathos without crying over a teen corpse. When a session feels easy, you graduated; open the tier list hub and pick a harder role on purpose. Until then, eat the mushroom, not the myth.
